- Your own branded website with online booking, in three themes — Linen, Onyx and Bloom — each in Light and Dark.
- Clients choose their services, a stylist and an available time, at the salon or, where you offer it, at home.
- The price a client sees when booking is the price on the confirmation, in every message and at the front desk.
- Every confirmation shows the booking reference, the time in the salon’s time zone, the staff member, the total, the deposit and the balance, the cancellation deadline, an add-to-calendar file and directions.
- Dates are written the same unambiguous way on the website, in the app and in e-mails.

Messages and reminders
Messages say only what actually happened, and when an appointment is cancelled the product always sends the client a cancellation notice. Reminders go by e-mail; the product sends each reminder at most once. Delivery depends on your e-mail provider and the network.

Deposits, Payments & Your Shop
Deposits on the services you choose; your products for sale
- Ask for a deposit on the services you choose, collected online through PayPal, Stripe or Razorpay on the salon’s own accounts; the balance is paid at the salon.
- Sell your salon’s own products on your website and in your app: collected at the salon, delivered locally or shipped at your own rates, with stock, discounts and returns.
- Choose any currency your payment providers accept — USD is preselected. Checkout only ever offers a payment provider that accepts your currency.
- No country’s taxes are built in. If you charge tax, you add your own rate.
- OsDot takes no commission on your bookings and adds no markup to your messages: payments and text messages go through your own provider accounts.

A one-time perpetual software usage license: the end of any support period never ends it. Single Site activates one installation and Multi Site up to five, with the license key from your purchase; deactivating an installation releases its slot. The Reseller / White-Label edition is a separate product.
Your name on it
Your salon’s name, logo, pictures and pages on its own website, in one of three themes. The administration area shows “Powered by OsDot™” in every edition, and it stays; the same link in the public website’s footer can be switched off by the salon’s owner.

Hosting & System Requirements
PHP 8.3 or 8.4, MySQL 8.4 or MariaDB, HTTPS, cron
- PHP 8.3 or 8.4. PHP 8.3 is the minimum: below it the application does not start.
- PHP extensions: intl, mbstring, pdo_mysql, openssl, sodium, curl, json, ctype, fileinfo, gd and simplexml.
- A database: MySQL 8.4 LTS, or MariaDB 10.11, 11.4 or 11.8 LTS. Other series show a warning and may be used at your own risk; a version below the application’s minimum is refused.
- HTTPS, at the root of a host name (for example
https://booking.example.com/). Installing into a sub-folder of another site is not supported. - Scheduled tasks (cron) every minute, run with your site’s PHP 8.3 or later.
- Shared hosting, cloud hosting and VPS that meet the requirements. A VPS is not required. The browser installer checks your server before it installs anything and says what to change.
- Tested on Hostinger shared hosting (LiteSpeed, PHP 8.3, MariaDB 11.8): installed from the package through the browser installer.

Is this salon booking system self-hosted?
Yes. You install Salon Booking OS on your own hosting; OsDot does not host salons. Installation is available as a separate service.
Does the salon booking software take deposits?
Yes, on the services you choose: the deposit is collected online through PayPal, Stripe or Razorpay on the salon’s own accounts, and the balance is paid at the salon.
Do I need a VPS?
No. Shared hosting that meets the requirements works; the installer checks it for you.
Can I install it in a sub-folder (example.com/booking/)?
No. Use a host name of its own, such as a sub-domain (booking.example.com).
My host’s public_html is fixed. Can I still install?
Yes, on Apache or LiteSpeed hosting with .htaccess files allowed: upload the contents of the package’s Web/ folder into public_html.
Which PHP does the cron use?
The one you name in the task’s command. Some hosts run an older PHP for plain php; use the full path of your site’s PHP 8.3 or later, as the installer’s success page shows.
Is there an iPhone app?
The package includes the app’s iOS source for you to build on a Mac with Xcode and your own Apple developer account; OsDot does not publish or build the iOS app for you.
