Your Salon Booking OS license: the terms

This document states the software license terms under which OsDot Solutions provides Salon Booking OS by OsDotâ„¢ 1.0.0 in this package (Single Site / Multi Site). The commercial model is a one-time perpetual software usage license; support and updates are a separate entitlement described in the support policy shipped with this package (SUPPORT-POLICY.html).
Definitions #
- Software: the Salon Booking OS by OsDotâ„¢ application delivered in this package, including the customer app’s source and the documentation.
- Purchaser: the person or organisation that acquired the license from OsDot Solutions.
- Installation: one deployed instance of the Software serving one salon on one production website.
Perpetual usage #
The Purchaser may use the version of the Software delivered in this package for as long as they wish. The end of any support or update period does not end this usage right.
Tier 1 — Single Site License #
- one production installation, for one salon;
- full source code;
- commercial use for the Purchaser’s own business;
- customisation and white-labelling for the Purchaser’s own use permitted;
- no standalone resale, redistribution or sublicensing of the Software.
The license key of a Single Site purchase activates one installation.
Tier 2 — Multi Site License #
- up to five production installations, one salon each (the activation quantity of the purchased product);
- full source code;
- customisation and white-labelling permitted;
- own business and client deployment permitted;
- no standalone resale of the underlying OsDot Solutions Software.
The license key of a Multi Site purchase activates up to the purchased number of installations; deactivating an installation releases its slot.
Activation #
Single Site and Multi Site installations are activated online during installation and confirm their status periodically with the OsDot Solutions license server. Only the license key, the installation identity, the installation host and the product version are transmitted. See Software license.
Source code and modification #
The package contains readable source code. The Purchaser may modify it for the uses permitted by their tier. Modified software is used at the Purchaser’s own risk; OsDot Solutions support applies to the unmodified Software.
Attribution #
The administration area’s footer shows “Powered by OsDotâ„¢” in every edition, and it stays. The same link in the public website’s footer is shown by default; the salon’s owner may switch it off under System → Website settings.
Copyright and ownership #
The Software is the intellectual property of OsDot Solutions. This license grants usage rights as described above and transfers no ownership. Third-party components remain under their own licenses, reproduced in THIRD-PARTY-LICENSES.html.
Updates and support #
Updates and support rights are governed by SUPPORT-POLICY.html. Nothing in this document is affected by the state of a support subscription.
Restrictions #
The Purchaser must not remove or alter copyright notices in the Software, present the Software as their own creation outside the rights of their tier, or use the Software for unlawful purposes.
Governing terms #
These tier terms are the OsDot Solutions standard terms for the Salon Booking OS by OsDotâ„¢ product family. Where a written agreement between OsDot Solutions and the Purchaser states different terms for a specific purchase, that agreement prevails.
