Handyman Booking OS changelog

Table of Contents

1.0.0 #

The first release of Handyman Booking OS by OsDotâ„¢: handyman business software for one small home-repair business.

  • Your own branded website with booking, in three themes — Anchor, Sunrise and Coral — each in Light and Dark.
  • Online booking that fits your hours, each worker's own hours and the travel time between jobs, with your service area checked first; customers reschedule or cancel inside your deadline, and guests find their booking with its reference.
  • Estimates: requests with photos and preferred times; versioned estimates customers approve online; added work approved before it is done.
  • Jobs and workers: assignments confirmed with "Seen" or "Can't do this job"; a customer's phone and address shown to a worker only for their own jobs, around the visit; jobs closed with photos, notes and the customer's completion code; simple pay records.
  • Invoices with your numbering and tax lines; deposits, partial payments and the balance due; payments recorded by hand or at the door.
  • Online payments through PayPal, Stripe and Razorpay on your own accounts, confirmed by verified server-side events.
  • Push notifications on Android and iPhone, through your own Firebase project; workers can tell a customer they are on the way, with the arrival time they pick (a switch in your settings, off until you turn it on; no GPS or live tracking).
  • An optional AI writing helper on your own Claude key: off by default, and you review every draft.
  • One app for your customers and your workers, from the Flutter source for Android and iOS.
  • Verified reviews, your own shop for parts and refurbished items, reports that match your payments ledger, CSV import and export.
  • Version 1 shows dates, times and amounts in US English format, with the 12-hour clock.

Known limitations: the slideshow and the worker's screens use a few fixed colours that do not follow your colour changes. Known in version 1.0: the app may ask you to sign in again when you reopen it after a while. A fix is planned for the next version.
